Zmesh under Solid Hardwood and Deep Pile Carpet

The owner of this new 2900sf home in the Berkshire Mountains wanted a primary heating system using our low voltage Zmesh system so he would not be stuck having to use flooring to match the radiant system, instead of the other way around. A complete room-by-room Heat Loss Calculation was performed to facilitate an efficient system that was also easy to zone.

Directly below is the kitchen layout with solid oak hardwood flooring nailed directly over the Zmesh element. Zmesh creates no floor height issues when running into the living room with carpeting from the hardwood in the kitchen. (more pictures below these)

This is the 600sf living room w/3 floor outlets for table lamps. Luon was placed over the Zmesh element to protect it from the carpet installers as well as for carpet replacement later.

Pictures below are of the separately zoned dining room. It has it's own thermostat which allows for proper heating only when guests are in.
