Comfort Radiant's snow melting systems are designed to use less energy than water based systems. There are no moving parts, they require no maintenance and the Tuff Cable element carries a 25 year non-prorated warranty. Best of all, they only run when there is freezing rain or snow falling and they can be designed to turn on and off automatically, leaving a dry surface when they do. Our snow melting systems are also designed to prevent snow from building. In the pictures below, the pavers are thicker than the granite treads. Our installers spaced the element closer together under the pavers to generate more heat than under the treads.
